Structural Characteristics, Use and Maintenance of Industrial Peristaltic Pump

An industrial peristaltic pump is a fluid transmission and processing equipment with a controllable flow rate. Because it has the characteristics of high flow control accuracy, simple operation and easy maintenance, low shear force, corrosion resistance, and can avoid cross-contamination between liquids, it is now more and more widely used in various industries.


1. Structural characteristics of the industrial peristaltic pump


(1) The industrial peristaltic pump has no sealing structure so that it will not produce any leakage;


(2) It has a strong self-priming ability, and the suction range of clean water can reach 8 meters;


(3) The pumped fluid is only in contact with the hose, so it can transport various viscosity, density, corrosive, and abrasive fluid materials;


(4) It can transport liquid materials containing solid particles, crystals, fibrous substances, and other impurities, without any blockage or malfunction;


(5) It can run in forward and reverse directions and has the self-cleaning ability;


(6) The industrial peristaltic pump does not need to be pumped to start, which is particularly convenient for gap operation;


(7) It has low vibration and noise, and can be fixed on a trolley for mobile operation;


(8) The industrial peristaltic pump has a simple structure and is easy to operate and maintain;


(9) It consumes less power, has high volumetric efficiency, and has better measurement capabilities.


2. The use and maintenance of the industrial peristaltic pump


(1) When replacing the hose, first loosen the pipe clamp bolts at both ends, remove the pipe clamp, and then loosen the hoisting ring bolt at one end, pull out one end of the short tube from the hose, turn on the motor, and install the hose; then fix the hoisting ring and install the pipe clamp. The replacement task is now complete. Note: When installing the hose, be sure to close the hose to the pump casing and confirm it before putting it into normal operation.


(2) The hose can be used for about 200 hours, and the hose can be rotated 90 degrees. For single-tube hose pumps, in addition to the direction of rotation, the hose can also be pumped back and forth to change the pressure point of the hose and prolong the peristaltic pump tubing life.


The pressure roller adjustment pump has been adjusted in place according to normal conditions when the pump leaves the factory. If the material cannot be sucked up or the flow does not meet the requirements under the rated pressure of the pump, please adjust the eccentricity of the pressure roller.


The steps are as follows: First, open the corresponding round-hole plexiglass cover plate on both sides of the peristaltic metering pump casing and the rectangular plexiglass cover plate at the outlet end of the peristaltic metering pump and rotate the rotor pressure roller between the two round holes, with the bolts facing the round holes. Then use a socket wrench to loosen the bolts at both ends. Then use a small round bar or a Phillips screwdriver to align the round hole and turn the eccentric sleeve on one side of the pressure roller to rotate. The shorter the distance between the pressure roller and the pump casing, the tighter the hose is pressed, and vice versa.
